In reply to Anna Thomas. Agreed, useful summary. I'd add that the lifestyle piece around fluid timing was something my father's urologist never mentioned. Cutting liquids two hours before bed made a noticeable difference even before starting any herbs.

My father’s urologist mentioned a similar trajectory to the one described here. What I found most useful in this article was the explanation of Mutrakrichra as a category that includes obstruction AND irritation. Those feel like very different problems but apparently the Kapha-Vata framing covers both.
